I am very happy to take part for the first time at the Patmos Sacred music festival. My mother, Greek singer Aliki Kayaloglou fell in love with  Patmos when I was a little child and bought a house here. Patmos is a magical place for me. I remember myself as a teenager, walking to one of my favourite places on earth, psili ammos, on diakofti and listening to Hildegard von Bingen. I have associated Patmos with her music and early music in general. But I first started singing her compositions when I started working with conductor Teodor Currentzis, who is now my mentor, and he suggested my voice would fit well to her compositions. Already working since twelve years with him, I have acquired a big repertoire of sacred music: solo, ensemble and choir and I am very happy to be given the opportunity to sing some of this music in this sacred and special place of the Apocalypse. I would like to thank the mayor of Patmos Nikitas Tsambalakis, the director of the Festival Luigi Pianini Mazzucchetti, the artistic director Roberto Prosseda and everyone who has contributed for this festival to take place.

Είμαι πολύ χαρούμενη που θα τραγουδίσω για πρώτη φορά στο Φεστιβάλ Θρησκευτικής Μουσικής της Πάτμου. Η μητέρα μου, η τραγουδίστρια Αλίκη Καγιαλόγλου, ερωτεύτηκε το νησι όταν ήμουν ακόμα παιδάκι και αγόρασε ένα σπίτι εδώ. Η Πάτμος για μένα είναι τόπος μαγικός. Θυμάμαι όταν ήμουν μικρή και πήγαινα σε ένα από τα  πιο αγαπημένα μου μέρη στον κόσμο, την ψιλή άμμο, άκουγα τις συνθέσεις της Hildegard von Bingen. Έχω συνδέσει την Πάτμο με την μουσική της και γενικά με τη μεσαιωνική και  την αναγεννησιακή μουσική. Πρώτη φορά τραγούδισα τις συνθέσεις της αφού άρχισα να συνεργάζομαι με τον μαέστρο Θεόδωρο Κουρεντζή ,ο οποίος έγινε ο μέντοράς μου και ήταν ο πρώτος που μου είπε ότι η φωνή μου θα ταίριαζε στις συνθέσεις της. Μετά από δώδεκα χρόνια δουλειάς μαζί του έχω αποκτήσει ένα ευρύ ρεπερτόριο θρησκευτικής μουσικής σαν σολίστ, σε φωνητικά σύνολα και χορωδία και χαίρομαι ιδιαίτερα που μου δίνεται η ευκαιρία να τραγουδίσω αυτό το αγαπημένο μου ρεπερτόριο σε αυτόν τον ιερό και ξεχωριστό χώρο της αποκάλυψης. Ευχαριστώ τον δήμαρχο Νικίτα Τσαμπαλάκη, τον διευθυντή του φεστιβάλ Λουίτζι Πιανίνι Ματσουκέτι, τον καλλιτεχνικό διευθυντή Ρομπέρτο Προσέντα και όλους όσοι συνέβαλαν για την πραγματοποίηση του.
